Coffee in the Afternoon
“Coffee in the Afternoon” is a visual development project based on a poem with the same title, written by Alberto Ríos.
In “Coffee in the Afternoon,” two strangers in the 1970s end up spending a pleasant afternoon together, drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying “tea food.” I wanted to illustrate the strange yet warm exchange between a young and polite college student, and a disorganized yet warm elderly lady.
